April 24, Sunday

Sam and Ophelia start the morning off right with an Olan Mills style photo-op.
Daddy made blueberry muffins. Sam enjoys two of them while watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
Elliott's prizes from Zombie Jesus were Elmo books and socks. You think a toddler would not care about socks... little miss fashion diva stinkin' LOVED them because they were Elmo and fashionable.
Sam got books from Zombie Jesus that he can chew on.
You may be asking yourself about Zombie Jesus right now so I will take a minute to minister to you who have never considered this concept. This is all from the perspective of my toddler. When people come back from the dead, they can be one of two things: a vampire or a zombie. It is daytime so right now Jesus is clearly a zombie. Now what do zombies eat? Brains. Well, Elliott also knows that Easter is about bunnies so what is the natural food source for an Easter undead? Bunny brains. In toddler logic, Jesus is now Zombie Jesus who rose from the dead on the third day to eat bunny brains. Solid.

The wolves circling their prey of chocolate bunny.
Sam waiting to be fed.
The first semi-annual Barckley Easter Egg Hunt. On this occasion the adults hid the eggs for Elliott and Sam to find. I am going to train them to hide the eggs around MeMe and PopPop's house for them to find for months to come!
Elliott slowly got the hang of it.

Sam had the special olympics toddler patch to hunt in.
Elliott putting out more eggs for him.
And now taking all them plus more back.
 What is this? Food? No.
But I smell something and it rattled.

And it took him all of 30 seconds to figure out there was candy in them.

Foil and all in the mouth.
We took the candy away and he seemed a little upset.
