December 1, Wednesday

This is one of the rare species of bed bugs known as the Droolus Alloverus.

He is a parasite that like to feed on the pureed food of warm-blooded animals.

His name is derived from his preferred method of territorial marking by saliva.
Although not strictly nocturnal, they are more active at night when Mommy and Daddy are trying to sleep and thus causing great irritation.

Once infested, there is no way to get rid of them but there does seem to be a drastic decrease in parasitic activity after 18-20 years in most cases.
